Man Food (For Your Manly Man)

With Father's Day coming up and all, I was trying to figure out what "real men" want in a meal- so I enlisted my hubby's help and made him take a survey to work. I had 7 food items on a list and had them rate them from 1 to 7 with one being the manliest. I also had them star the one they like to eat the most. The two that came up as the "manliest" were steak and ribs.

So for dinner last night I had the two most manliest men I know eat my man food dinner. My hubby and dad. Here it is.

Ribs:
1 Rack of ribs, 1 onion, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup vinegar, 1 Tbs honey and 1/2 to 1 bottle of bbq sauce. Cut the onion into big chunks, mix the rest of the ingredients and pour over the ribs in a crock pot. Cook on low for 4 to 6 hours. I like to cook mine until the meat is almost falling off the ribs.

Rosemary Potatoes
8 small red potatoes, olive oil, rosemary, kosher salt, pepper.
Cut up the potatoes, coat with olive oil, 1-2tsp. rosemary, salt and pepper. I don't measure anything-sorry. Bake at 425 degrees until the potatoes are crispy and tender.

Pineapple
1 Pineapple 1 Lime
Cut pineapple into large chunks. Zest one lime and stir pineapple and zest together. Throw them in the oven with the potatoes for about 10-12 min. Delicious!

That's a man dinner if I've ever seen one! So, throw the pineapple in with the potatoes?? On a different dish, right?? That sounds way good!

Thanks!

Yum! My man would love that.

Random comment...when I pull up your site, the YouTube clip from a while back automatically starts playing after a few seconds...even though it's pretty far down the page...the audio always sort of startles me when the TV gal starts talking seemingly from nowhere.

Not sure if there is a solution or if it's even a real problem, but it made me wonder if there is a setting to have videos load but not start till you hit the start button?
