Gift Ideas for Women:
Need some Mother’s Day gift ideas?? I know I do 🙂 So, every day this week, I’ve asked some fun ladies to share their most favorite things.

Oh, and I’ve got a favorite recipe for you tomorrow…not a big deal, only the BEST pancakes in the whole world, says I. Stay tuned.

To start with, I thought I would hit up my own mother. She’s as talented as can be, and I knew she would have some favorites that would double as great gift ideas!
Over the weekend, I had her come up with a list of her most favorite things….Here we go!
Mom LOVES her dutch oven. First, because I gave it to her (right, Mom??) and second, because it rocks her world. She loves it because you can take it from the stove, right to the oven…you don’t have to use multiple pans or lose any flavor. What’s super great is that you don’t have to spend tons of money to have the super-name-brand version (at least a couple hundred bucks). This Lodge dutch oven has received stellar reviews (you’ve heard me talk about it before), and it’s only $50 bones.
This cook book has taught her so much about braising (cooking with a dutch oven), and has great recipes. Also, highly rated.
To first glance at the recipes in this book, the measurements might be somewhat confusing. But, if you read the beginning of the book where The Culinary Institute of America teaches you about making bread, you will totally get it…and find great recipes for yummy bread! Of the zillions of cook books my mom has, this is at the top!
I doubt there is a day that goes by where Mom doesn’t use her Bosch. She WAY prefers this over a KitchenAid. The biggest reason is that she likes how open the bowl is…not being blocked by the beater and motor. You can easily dump ingredients in, while it is still running. I also love my Bosch!
Can I give free shout-outs to Spirit Ranch any more than I do?? I guess I’ll have to because this jewelry organizer is ALSO one of my mom’s favorite things (mine too!) I seriously give these to everyone for gifts, they’re awesome.
My grammy gave us these travel organizers a couple years back, we are so in love with them! It has a little hanger-hook that you can hang it up in the bathroom, closet, wherever. It rolls down and there are four pockets to store your makeup in. The cool thing is that when you go on vacation, you just roll it up and it’s small enough to pack and ready to go!
Right now, Sam’s Club has these amazing Gardenias…my mom loves hers! “It smells like heaven.” (actual quote.)
Mom collects the adorable Willyraye figurines. They have the cutest look and there are figures for every season. I’ve given these as teacher gifts several times. Oh, and gifts to my mom. 🙂
Momma loves her little laptop to store her recipes. She keeps it right on the counter, it’s small enough to stay out of the way while she’s cooking.
Her favorite kitchen tool is a digital thermometer. It makes checking doneness (that sounds wrong, is it?) so easy. I need one. I’m so afraid of raw meat that I overcook everything, this would come in handy. This specific thermometer is a best-seller and highly praised for how quick it can read and the accuracy.
And, there you have it! (Thanks Mom!) More “favorite things” all week!
For gift ideas for everyone on your list, check out the Gift Ideas tab and be sure to pin Gift Idea Central, to keep the whole collection in one place.

I got one of the Mary Kay bags a few years ago and they are awesome! I use it for my makeup all the time because it can hang somewhere out of the way and not take up drawer space. Plus you can roll it up and take it all with you, OR the bags have velcrow (sp?) so you can just grab one or two that you really need. Love love love it!

I seriously compile my Christmas/Birthday/Wish List from things I read about on your blog. People ask me all the time where I got something (or the idea for something), and I always tell them my sister-in-law’s awesome blog!

What brand is that thermometer? I’ve had several and none of them seem to be accurate…
Thanks for the great ideas.

Thanks Rebecca! You’re nice!
Linda ~ If you click on the heading on the post, it will take you to where that specific thermometer is sold on Amazon. It’s made by ThermoWorks.
